Athlete

Becoming involved in athletics from the age of 13 I was winning schoolboy national honours within a few years and in 1986 placed 64th in the World Junior cross country championships. A talented track and cross country runner I earned an athletic scholarship to an American University (Iowa State University) where I earned my Degree in Business.

While in the US I placed 7th in the NCAA 5000m and 8th in the US Cross Country champs.

Returned to the Uk in 1991 placing 8th in the 1996 AAA Championships (Atlanta Olympic Trials). During the 1990s I earned England Vests at cross country and placed 18th in the UK cross country championships.

I have continued to compete but began coaching in 2008, first at Sevenoaks AC and now at Tonbridge AC. Athletes I have coached include Dom Brown who placed 4th in the Englaish Schools 1500m and 2nd the Kent Championships in 2011.
